It's amazing how many people continue to have difficulties with constipation and think they can't do anything about it except drink a bunch of laxatives. The main problem is that most folks are not getting enough fluids in their diet but let's get beyond that. They also eat the wrong kinds of foods, honey!

As far as fluids go, all anyone has to do is drink them. Just make sure they're not alcohol or sugar loaded and you're usually good to go. After all, it's the fluids that provide lubrication to your intestines and that's what keeps the digested food moving along.

When we speak of food though, that is another problem altogether. The reason is that there are just so many different kinds of food to consider. There are actually a bunch of foods that pull the moisture in food out as it goes through the gut. If this should occur with a particular type of food, there's nothing left to lubricate the gut and move the food into the large intestine and then out. When this happens, it makes one absolutely miserable and it's certainly no fun at all.


Certain foods actually help cause constipation. Some of those foods include meats, which are high in protein and fat. When people just eat meat and avoid any kind of fiber, they'll often get constipated.

Other food types, like dairy foods, also have no fiber in them and will tend to get thick and slow the whole digestive process down too unless they have fibrous foods to keep them moving along in the intestines. If not, the result is that slowing and eventual constipating action that is so uncomfortable.

Greasy, fat foods will also cause a lot of constipation and nausea. Again, if you know that you're going to be eating a lot of fried foods, be certain to enhance that diet with foods rich in fibers. Have you ever seen fat when it's not liquid? Pretty gross, huh? That's what it does in your belly too. That's why you need to throw in the fiber foods as well. Just some good old veggies should do the trick.

If you're completely sick of being constipated for one reason or another, there is another way for you to be able to eat all the foods you love and avoid the old "work-it-out" blues. Why would anyone want to continue to eat and get constipated frequently.
